Club football will resume this weekend, and Manchester United have some tough games coming up after the international break.

United will first play Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this Saturday, October 16, before a Champions League match with Atalanta at Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without five players for the upcoming games.

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire has missed United’s last two matches with a calf injury and also missed out on England’s squad for the international games.

Raphael Varane is also a doubt after he was substituted in the first half of France’s 2-1 win over Spain on Sunday after suffering a groin problem.

Varane returned to Manchester on Monday and will be assessed by United’s medical staff ahead of the weekend games.

South American duo Fred and Edinson Cavani will also miss the trip to Leicester City as they will return late from international duty with Brazil and Uruguay respectively.

There are hopes that Marcus Rashford will make a return to the squad for the first time after being sidelined since undergoing shoulder surgery in July. But, it’s still unclear if Rashford will be passed fit for the game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be available for the game against Leicester City but will miss the Champions League clash against Atalanta. The right-back was sent off in the 35th minute of United’s 2-1 defeat to Young Boys for a foul on Christopher Martins Pereira.
