Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has urged his Manchester United teammates to ‘recover well and focus on the next game’ after the Red Devils lost 2-1 to Young Boys on Tuesday evening.

Ronaldo gave Manchester United the lead on his record-equalling 177th Champions League appearance before the Red Devils lost momentum following a 35th minute red card for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Young Boys equalised shortly after the break and then scored an injury-time winner after an error from substitute Jesse Lingard.

Reacting to the defeat, five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo posted on social media: “Wasn’t the result we wanted, but now it’s time to recover well and focus on the next game!”
