Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has less than a year left on his contract and is yet to extend his contract with the club amid reports linking him with an exit to PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid.
However, according to The Athletic, Pogba is now considering extending his stay at Manchester United following the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The report claims that Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford on Saturday had a ‘profound effect’ on Pogba and there is now the belief that it is a ‘realistic possibility’ that the midfielder will sign a new deal with the club.
Pogba has made an impressive start to the season, providing seven assists in just four Premier League games.
The France international is on course to break the current record of 20 assists in a single 38-game Premier League season, which is held by both Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The possibility of Pogba extending his Manchester United contract will definitely be sweet music to the ears of Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
