Cristiano Ronaldo had three amazing years with Juventus in the Serie A, before deciding on a return to the Premier League.
Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 appearances and won two Serie A titles in Turin before deciding to leave.
Ronaldo’s exit was celebrated in England, but Juventus fans didn’t seem to like the way he left.
According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport via Calciomercato, every player in the Juve team paid tributes to Ronaldo with a post or an Instragram story, but veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini never did.
Ronaldo’s absence is badly felt in Turin and Juventus seem weak without him. Juventus have lost two of their opening three games and are yet to get a victory as they sit on 16th position in the Serie A.
Chiellini has hailed the impact Ronaldo had at Juventus and has backed Paulo Dybala to take over.
The 37-year-old told DAZN as quoted by Football Italia: “When you have a world class player like Cristiano, you cannot help but use the team to play for him.
“We must be grateful to Cristiano for all he did during these years at Juventus, but we carry on.
“This will be Paulo Dybala’s team,” he affirmed. “Over the last couple of years, he lowered his average goals because of Cristiano’s presence, but he is a key player for this team and that is recognised by everyone.”
Meanwhile, report claims the Bianconeri captain has a good professional relationship with Ronaldo and he preferred to offer him his farewell message in person than through social media.
