Manchester United plan to stop the ban on Fred

Brazil’s FA have made a move to block Fred from featuring in the Premier League this weekend.

The Brazilian Football Association has asked FIFA to block some of their national team players from featuring in the Premier League this weekend.

Premier League clubs had agreed to prevent their players from travelling for matches which would be held in countries that are on the UK’s red list due to coronvirus.

With the ban in place, Fred would be unavailable for this weekend’s game against Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the affected clubs have the backing of the ECA (European Club Association) against FIFA.

The affected clubs aren’t happy with the ban, and according to the Guardian, talks are on between all involved parties and an agreement could be reached in the next 24 hours.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t keen on losing Fred whom he sees as one of the mainstay in the team.
