Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his second Manchester United debut this weekend as United play host to Newcastle.
Ronaldo sealed a sensational return to Old Trafford for the second time and has got the Manchester United fans buzzing.
The United star scored twice, in Portugal’s 2-1 win over Republic of Ireland and has since returned to the UK after getting suspended for taking off his shirt while celebrating the goal.
The 36-year-old was due to face five days of isolation at home in Cheshire due to Covid protocols, and reports claim he may not be a starter this weekend.
With just one day to train with his new teammates ahead of the weekend game, reports claim Solskjaer may decide against throwing him into the starting XI.
According to The Sun, Ronaldo will be left on the bench for this weekend’s game, although he will likely still make his second debut for the club in the match against Newcastle, with Solskjaer targeting to bring him on as a sub in front of a buzzing Old Trafford crowd.
Do you think Ronaldo should start or come in as a sub?
