Manchester United pulled some exciting deals during the summer transfer window, as the club signed up Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
All three deals were very vital ones, as the club cemented positions that needed to be strengthened.
However, Manchester United fans know that the club still needs to sign a top class central midfielder, and fans have been clamouring for that.
According to ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United executive-vice chairman Ed Woodward are ‘aware’ of the clamour among supporters for a defensive midfielder to be signed and would do so next summer.
The report claims that the club has prioritised West Ham star Declan Rice as the man at the top of their shortlist for the central midfield position.
The report also claimed that United will try to sign a striker next summer, with the contract of the ageing Edinson Cavani to have been up by then.
