Cristiano Ronaldo had three amazing years with Juventus in the Serie A, before deciding on a return to the Premier League.
Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 appearances and won two Serie A titles in Turin before deciding to leave.
Ronaldo’s exit was celebrated in England, but Juventus fans didn’t seem to like the way he left.
According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport via Calciomercato, every player in the Juve team paid tributes to Ronaldo with a post or an Instragram story, but veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini never did.
According to the report, the Bianconeri captain had a good professional relationship with the Portuguese legend and he probably preferred to offer him his farewell message in person than through social media.
Meanwhile, Juve legend Alessio Tacchinardi criticised Ronaldo for disrespecting the Italian giants with the way he left the club.
“Ronaldo should have left in a different way, not on his private jet while Allegri was talking to the team before the game against Empoli,” Tacchinardi told Tuttosport.
“I expected a press conference to say goodbye to the fans. They deserved something different.
“There are no more legends such as Del Piero, Totti, Maldini or Zanetti, but it wasn’t nice to hear from Ronaldo that he was going back to a place he feels like home.
“He put Juventus in a difficult situation, leaving a few days before the end of the transfer window, it is impossible to replace a goal machine like him.”
