Why Solskjaer didn’t include Mason Greenwood in Man Utd’s Champions League squad

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s 25-man Champions League squad was released today and notable names like Phil Jones and Mason Greenwood were missing.

Several Manchester United fans have been worried after not seeing Greenwood’s name in Manchester United’s Champions League squad list.

Despite being left out of Manchester United’s Champions League squad list, Greenwood will still be able to play in the UEFA Champions League this season.

This is because Greenwood is under the age of 21 and qualifies as “homegrown” which means he doesn’t need to be registered as part of the maximum 25-man squad for the tournament and can instead be included on the B list.
