Ronaldo’s former teammate tells him to make big sacrifice at Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo is a born winner and has an insatiable desire to play and win every football game, despite being 36.

The Portugal international has made a sensational return to Old Trafford, and is expected to play as a striker.

However, despite Ronaldo’s massive form at age 36, former teammate Dimitar Berbatov has told him not to expect to play every game this season.

Berbatov said: “Is Ronaldo going to play every game or is he going to come in as a substitute sometimes? Is he going to be rested sometimes as well because the schedule is tight in the Premier League?

“Of course when you are 36 you are more mature and you know that the team comes first and maybe sometimes you will sit on the bench or come on as a sub. Ronaldo would probably like to play every game but he knows that sometimes he will need to sacrifice himself for the team.”

Ronaldo turns 37 February next year, and he has so far managed to maintain a high level at every club. The Portuguese star scored 101 goals in 134 matches in his three year spell at Juventus.
