The return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United will reportedly not impact the Old Trafford side’s ‘priority’ pursuit of Erling Haaland next summer.
This is according to a report on ESPN via Daily Mail.
Despite Manchester United’s abundance in attack, the Red Devils remain interested in signing Haaland from Borussia Dortmund next summer.
Haaland is known to be a big fan of Ronaldo and Manchester United intend to use the chance of him playing alongside his idol to lure the striker to Manchester United.
Haaland, who is managed by Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, sees a release clause in the region of €75m (£64m) become active in his contract at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Haaland has been a revelation in Germany having bagged an impressive 63 goals in 64 appearances. He has also provided 18 assists and won the German Cup last season.
