Manchester United have been given a major injury blow with Scott McTominay believed to be out injured.
The 24-year-old was left out of the Scotland squad due to injury and could now miss United’s clash against Wolves this weekend.
McTominay picked up the injury during United’s Premier League opener against Leeds and was a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw at Southampton on Saturday.
McTominay has now been ruled out of Scotland’s World Cup qualifiers against Denmark, Moldova and Austria.
McTominay was missed in the middle of the park against the Saints, as United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went for the midfield duo of Fred and Nemanja Matic.
The severity of McTominay’s injury is not yet known, and Solskjaer will deliver an update on the Scot when he faces the media later this week.
