Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Southampton must have felt like a defeat as United have lost ground on Chelsea and Liverpool who have so far won their first two games of the season.
United couldn’t follow up with a win after a stunning 5-1 win on the season’s opening weekend, as the Saints held United down.
The performance wasn’t top-notch, and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted after the game that his side must improve.
However, Arsenal legend Tony Adams slammed the performance of Fred and labelled his performance poor as he didn’t seem good enough in the middle of the park.
“[Southampton boss] Ralph [Hasenhuttl] will be absolutely delighted with that and they even had a few chances at the end there to win it,” Adams told Premier League productions.
“There’s a few issues there for Manchester United. We were so excited about them at the start of the game but there was some poor performances today.
“Fred was poor, he gave the ball away too many times. There’s a few worrying things there for United.”
