The Red Devils are reportedly eager to give Bruno Fernandes a new deal to recognise his status at the club.

The Portugal international has been outstanding since joining Manchester United from Benfica in January 2020.

The 26-year-old scored eight goals and registered seven assists from his first 14 Premier League matches in the 2019/2020 campaign.

And he then followed that up by bagging 28 times across all competitions, seven more than Marcus Rashford and 11 more than Edinson Cavani.

According to Daily Express, Fernandes doesn’t want to leave the club and is happy to stay at Old Trafford as talks over a new contract go on.

Fernandes scored a hat-trick as Manchester United hammered Leeds United 5-1 in our opening match of the new campaign.
