Liverpool legend Graeme Sounness clearly has an issue with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Souness never gets to say anything good about Pogba, and despite his five star performance against Leeds United, the Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool star refused to praise the Frenchman, claiming that a display like that was ‘expected from a £100 million man’.
Manchester United great Paul Ince has now come to the defence of Pogba and hailed his performance as outstanding, while also likening his situation to that of Harry Kane.
Speaking to The United Stand, Paul Ince said: “It’s a new season, a new start, it’s a new Manchester United. Paul Pogba was outstanding. Just leave it at that.
“We don’t need Graeme Souness or anyone else to start trying to slaughter Pogba when he’s been outstanding on the pitch. I just don’t get it.
“Pogba only thought about leaving because he didn’t see Man United competing with the top sides. That’s understandable, it’s like Harry Kane at Tottenham.”
