According to reports, Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is edging closer to a move away from Old Trafford.
The Brazilian international spent last season on loan in Serie A with Lazio and returned to the club for pre-season, but he’s way down the pecking order in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield.
Pereira has been linked with a move to Brazilian side Flamengo. According to Brazilian journalist Fred Caldeira, who is known to be very close to Pereira and his camp, the Manchester United midfielder has accepted the offer of Flamengo to join the club on loan this season with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Everton are also believed to be keen on Pereira this summer, with Rafa Benitez said to very interested in signing the media.
However, TNT Sports say that Flamengo have moved ahead of Everton in the race for Pereira, and claims that Pereira ‘s dream is to play for the Brazilian national team at a World Cup and he believes that playing in their domestic league could help his cause ahead of Qatar 2022.
Manchester United do want to sell Pereira, but so far, United are not ready to accept a loan deal and would prefer a permanent swoop with nothing less than £20 million.
