Raphael Varane has signed up with Manchester United for the foreseeable future.
The 28-year-old has signed a four year deal with Manchester United, having ended his decade long stay at Old Trafford.

Varane has admitted that moving to Old Trafford at this time is the best move for his career and has listed five Manchester United legends he used to look up to. Among the list is Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.

Asked what United players he admired earlier on his career, Varane said: “Of course, Vidic and Ferdinand were legends and a legendary duo, you know.”

He continued: “I remember players like Cristiano [Ronaldo], [Ryan] Giggs and [David] Beckham also. They are legends and I’m very proud to be part of this family.”

Varane has also revealed that he sees his move to Manchester United as a wonderful adventure which he feels right about.

Varane said: “I’m very happy and very excited to start this new journey for me.

“It was a very good adventure with my old club, but now it’s a new start for me and I’m very happy to be here.

“I think it was a good moment because of a lot of things, but I think the most important one is it’s a new challenge and it’s a big motivation to start in a new league in a big club like Manchester United.

“This opportunity was amazing for me, so I chose this change for me and my family. They have come with me. You feel when things are a good moment and this was the right moment.”
