Manchester United started the season in the best possible way as United defeated Leeds United 5-1 at Old Trafford in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
Over 70,000 fans made their way to Old Trafford for the first time in 18 months to cheer their team, and they weren’t disappointed as United won the game 5-1.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba ran the show in midfield and set a record in the process as he became the first Manchester United player to register four assists in a single Premier League game.
A lot has been said about Pogba’s future at Manchester United, and Solskjaer was again asked about the future of the Frenchman before the game against Leeds United.
Speaking about Pogba’s future, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “It’s been spoken and written about so often but every discussion I have had with Paul is a positive one.
“He knows what we want and hopefully it stays in the background and Paul and us will make a decision together.
“It (the situation) will always be like this with Paul – he’s a media ‘magnet’.”
