Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, as the two clubs have since agreed a deal for the 28-year-old.
A lot is expected of the Frenchman who has amassed so much titles in the course of his career including an incredible four Champions League winners medal.
However, some have raised the question of whether Varane will easily adapt to the nature of the Premier League.
Former Chelsea defender John Terry has revealed that he believes a quality player like Varane who has played at the highest level, will do well for Manchester United.
“I think it’s a natural one for people to say that it will take time for players to adapt,” Terry told Astro SuperSport.
“But when you’ve played at the level and kind of competition that he’s played at – winning the World Cup, Champions Leagues – he’ll hit the ground running I’m sure of that.
“I think from the outside watching Man United from afar, that’s been the key area I think they’ve been missing over the last few years so it’s good to see them dip into the market and get such a top player.”
