Former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe has reserved massive praise for United left-back Luke Shaw.
Just a few seasons ago, Shaw was struggling under Jose Mourinho, but his game has since thrived under the watch of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Last season, Shaw proved to be one of the best players in the league, but his game took to another level in the Euros, as he was definitely the best left-back in Euro 2020 and one of the best players in the competition.
Shaw’s performance at the Euros even drew massive praise from the legendary Roberto Carlos, and he just seems to be getting better with each game.
Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe has hailed Shaw’s game and his improvement over the past two seasons, and hailed him as one of the best left-backs in the world at the moment.
“I thought he (Shaw) was one of the best in the world before Jose got there and before his injury,” Sharpe said according to Metro.
“I think it took a little bit of time to get over his injury both physically and mentally and I think the fact that he did go through what he went through with Jose just goes to show what a manager’s faith, trust and confidence can do to a player.
“But I think Ole does that, he puts faith in him, and I think he goes out and expresses himself. Defensively he’s tightened up a bit, attacking wise we all know what a threat he is.
“He’s got a great engine and a great Euros will only help him for the rest of his career. He’s defensively one of the best, he’s fit strong, quick, has an eye for goal and I wouldn’t say there are many left-backs in the world that are better than him at this moment in time.”
