‘It’s been five years since I last had this’ — 28-goal Manchester United hero makes admission ahead of new season

Bruno Fernandes was one of Manchester United’s best players last season, but his form tailed off towards the end of the campaign.

Bruno Fernandes scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists for United last season, and he was undoubtedly one of the best players in the league last term.

Fernandes played 72 games for club and country last season, and he has now admitted that he’s feeling very fit for the new season after spending some time on holidays. According to the Portugal international, he hasn’t enjoyed a break like this in ten years.

Fernandes said: “It was nice, finally a long break after the season. It was a long time, I think five years maybe since my last full break.

“Honestly it was good to be with family and friends and enjoy time with my kids, because when we are playing, the time we spend at home is less than what we spend at the training ground.”
