Real Madrid and Manchester United have since reached an agreement for Raphael Varane, but United had been unable to seal the deal for the France international.
Varane is yet to come to the UK and complete his transfer, despite the two clubs having reached an agreement for more than a week now.
The Daily Telegraph had claimed that Varane is still waiting to get his visa before he can move to England. He was expected to travel on Monday but it was then pushed further as he waited for permission to travel, after which he will need to quarantine and complete a medical.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now given a fresh update about Varane’s imminent move to Manchester United.
According to the reputable journalist, Varane is finally ready to fly to Manchester this Thursday, with his visa issues expected to be resolved in a few hours.
Once Varane reaches Manchester, he will have to quarantine and then report for his medical. And afterwards, the official announcement will be made.
Varane has since agreed to terms that would make him a Manchester United player until 2025.
