Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson missed the Euros as he was replaced by Aaron Ramsdale in England’s Euro 2020 squad after withdrawing through injury.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been struggling with ‘prolonged fatigue’ after recently testing positive for Covid-19.

“Dean Henderson will miss Manchester United’s Scotland training camp while he continues his recovery from prolonged fatigue after contracting a Covid-19 infection three weeks ago,” a short statement on United’s official website said.

“He is expected to be training again soon.”

Henderson has missed out on the club’s second mini-training camp of the summer and now looks unlikely to start the opening match of the season against Leeds.

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire and midfielder Scott McTominay has sent a recovery message to Dean Henderson and wished him a swift recovery.
