Manchester United and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for Raphael Varane to make the move to Old Trafford, after 10 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The new Manchester United signing was at Real Madrid’s training centre for the very last time on Friday as he said his final goodbyes to his teammates.
With Real Madrid’s pre-season in top gear, Varane visited Real’s Valdebebas training complex one last time to say a final farewell to the players and staff. He also bade farewell to club president Florentino Perez.
The bulk of Real Madrid’s squad are already back in training, and Varane was seen sharing a hug with the likes of Luka Modric, Marcelo and Gareth Bale.
Real Madrid have also sent their farewell to the new Manchester United signing.
The club said in a statement: “We want to show all our affection to Raphael Varane and his family and wish him good luck in this new stage of his professional career.
“Our club thanks you for your professionalism and exemplary behaviour during the 10 seasons in which you defended our shirt.”
