After all said and done, Manchester United are now set to wrap up the deal for Raphael Varane.
United has since sealed summer transfer moves for Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho, with Varane now the latest to join what will be a very impressive Manchester United squad.
According to reports, Varane is now set for medicals and will fly to the UK in the next 48 hours to undergo his medical after Real Madrid agreed to sell the Frenchman for £39million.
The Spanish side were keen to get £70m for the World Cup winner, but with Varane left with just one year in his contract, United were able to beat down to a fee of around £39m.
United have since agreed personal terms with the Frenchman, and Gianluca Di Marzio says Varane will be in Manchester in the next two days to undergo his medical at the club.
Varane is expected to form a formidable partnership with Harry Maguire in central defence as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer builds a squad capable of winning the Premier League.
