Manchester United are currently in pre-season, as the team prepares for the new season.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that left back Alex Telles has suffered an injury in training which could see him out of action for some weeks.

The Brazilian was missing from line-up against QPR, and Solskjaer admitted it was for injury concerns.

Asked about Telles’ absence from the team sheet against QPR, Solskjaer explained: “Unfortunately Alex slipped and he twisted his ankle, so he will be out for a few weeks.

“We’re hoping that it’s not going to be too bad but he’ll be out for a little while.”

It was expected that Telles will start the new season in the left-back role ahead of Luke Shaw who’s still out on holidays.

Manchester United’s currently recognised left-back is Brandon Williams. The youngster may now be the one to start the new season for United. According to reports, Luke Shaw finished the Euros with a rib injury and is also expected to miss the start of the new season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United were beaten by QPR 4-2 in a pre-season game on Saturday.

Manchester United’s next pre-season game is against Brentford on 28 July, before a trip to Preston North End three days later and then Everton on 7 August at Old Trafford.

Manchester United start the season with a home game against Leeds United on August 14th.
