Chelsea legend Didier Drogba sends message to Manchester United’s Golden Boy

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has sent across a message to Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo after the Ivorian was nominated for the Golden Boy award.

The Golden Boy award which begun in 2003, has been won by great names in the past such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero. Raheem Sterling and Kylian Mbappe have also been recipient of the award as well as Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Former United star Anderson has also won the award.

Diallo has shown great potential at such a young age and made the 80-man shortlist for the Golden Boy award.

Following Diallo’s nomination for the award, Ivorian record goalscorer Didier Drogba hailed Diallo and reminded him that he is representing his nation and the entire continent of Africa with his performances.

“Proud of you @amaddiallo19,” Drogba wrote on Instagram in response to Diallo’s Golden Boy nomination.

“You’re not only representing our country but the continent.”

Amad Diallo has featured in 3 games for Ivory Coast and featured in 3 league games for United last season and 8 games in all competitions.
