Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was reportedly ready to leave Manchester United this summer following Manchester United’s defeat to Villarreal in the Europa League final.
This is according to Metro via Daily Mail.
De Gea was given the nod ahead of Dean Henderson for the final but missed the only penalty of an astonishing penalty shootout that saw Unai Emery’s side upset the odds to beat United in Gdansk, Poland.
However, De Gea has reversed his decision and is now set to remain at Manchester United after taking some time to think through his earlier decision.
De Gea, who is Manchester United’s highest earner on £375,000-a-week, has reportedly told Manchester United that he would prefer to remain at Manchester United.
