Manchester United have since agreed a £73m deal with Borussia Dortmund for England international Jadon Sancho.
The deal has since been agreed while Sancho was with the England squad during the Euros, and an announcement was expected to be made immediately after the tournament.
However, both clubs are yet to officially announce the new signing, despite agreeing a fee and United having also agreed personal terms with Sancho.
Speaking after the 2-1 victory over Derby County, in what was Manchester United’s first pre-season friendly, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about the Sancho deal.
The United boss admitted that it’s only a small detail in the paperwork that’s holding the deal from being announced.
“From what I understand only paperwork, small little details, hopefully we can announce something,” said Solskjaer.
“Let’s get all the paperwork done and get him over the line and then I can say what I truly feel about the player.”
