Jesse Lingard surprised many as he was in extraordinary form for West Ham last season.
The Manchester United star had struggled to perform under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and was relegated to the bench for much of his time under the Norwegian.
However, a loan move to West Ham saw Lingard become one of the best players in the league, having joined West Ham on loan in January.
The London club are keen on signing Lingard on a permanent deal, but aren’t willing to meet his £30m valuation by Manchester United.
Lingard has returned to his club and has resumed pre-season training with Manchester United.
The 28-year-old took to his Instagram page to upload a picture of him in training with Man United legend Michael Carrick, and two players to have been linked with a move to Manchester United Declan Rice and Jack Grealish both sent a message to him.
See the response from Rice and Jack Grealish below:
Rice is valued around £80m by West Ham, and Manchester United are reportedly keen on his signature.
