A good number of Manchester United players performed well at the Euro 2020 tournament, and three United players played in the final of the tournament.
Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw had a good tournament and were ranked in the top three of all the players at Euro 2020, according to UEFA.
Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was awarded the Player of the Tournament, with Spain’s Pedri picking up the Young Player award.
According to the report by Opta, Harry Maguire was named as the tournament’s outstanding performer after returning from injury in time for England’s final group game. The 28-year-old was initially doubtful to be involved this summer but instead returned in terrific form.
Maguire had a great tournament alongside John Stones, as he marshalled the defence with minimum fuss.
United fans will be hoping Luke Shaw and Maguire carry that rich vein of form to the new season. With the signing of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane also set to join the club, things are indeed looking bright at the Theatre of Dreams, and hopefully we can dream about the title.
