Premier League side Southampton have warned Manchester United that they are ready to back out from their loan move for Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams.
The Saints are keen on signing Williams following the departure of Ryan Bertrand to Leciester City but are unhappy at Manchester United’s demand for a £2m loan fee.
Williams is keen on joining Southampton on loan after making just four Premier League League League appearances for Manchester United last season.
Manchester United know Williams needs game time and are open to the defender leaving the club on loan to get more game time at a Premier League club but are demanding a loan fee for full-back.
Southampton are unwilling to pay that much given they’re going to cover the full back’s wages and they could drop their interest unless United lower their asking price.
