Manchester United begin their pre-season schedule this weekend ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Solskjaer’s side start their pre-season schedule at Derby County on Sunday before travelling to Queens Park Rangers on July 24. United would also face Brentford and Everton in pre-season.

The United squad will set up base for a week-long training camp at a luxury five-star hotel in Surrey between matches with Derby and QPR.

A number of first team players are back for pre-season preparations, with Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Axel Tuanzebe, Alex Telles and Mason Greenwood are notable first team players that have returned for pre-season.

Finalists Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, as well as new signing Jadon Sancho have been given three weeks holiday before they’d return for pre-season and the involvement of a host of United players at Euro 2020 means there’s a depleted squad at Carrington starting their preparations for next season.

Players who didn’t reach the final will all resume for pre-season in a fortnight.

United start their season against rivals Leeds United in mid-August.
