Three Manchester United players have joined the squad for preseason training as preparation continues for our first friendly match of the summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s options were bolstered on Friday by the return of first-team trio Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira as part of the club’s latest training session.

Our first preseason friendly will be against Championship side Derby at Pride Park next Sunday.

Manchester United players returned to Carrington at the start of the week for the first official day of pre-season and Solskjaer has had to promote several youngsters to first team training with several first-team players yet to return for preseason.

Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Victor Lindelof, Daniel James, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and David de Gea are still having time off following their involvement in the Euros, while Edinson Cavani is doing the same after exiting the Copa America.

Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and imminent summer signing Jadon Sancho are still on international duty with England while Eric Bailly and Amad are part of the Ivory Squad ahead of the Olympics.

Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Donny van de Beek are yet to report for pre-season action, while ‘keeper Dean Henderson is expected to report for training later this month as he recovers from a hip injury that forced his withdrawal from the England squad.
