Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the football world just 24 hours before his team defeated Hungary 3-0 in their Euro 2020 opening clash.
In a bid to promote health, Ronaldo removed two bottles of Coca-Cola from his press conference and opted instead for water, as he didn’t want the sugary drink to be associated with his brand.
Meanwhile, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba opted to tow the same line as he removed a bottle of Heineken beer from his press conference after playing a key role to help France to a 1-0 win against Germany in their opening Euro 2020 clash.
Although the bottle presented on the table was an alcohol-free offering, Pogba who’s a devout Muslim chose to remove the beer from the table.
Pogba who converted to Islam in 2019, removed the beer bottle from his presence as it compromises his beliefs as a muslim.
