Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba ran the show in midfield as France defeated Germany 1-0 in their opening group game in the ongoing European Championship.
Pogba played a key pass that led to Mats Hummels’ own goal in the first half, and it was enough for the reigning world champions to secure victory in their first game in Group F at the Allianz Arena.
Pogba was deservedly named man of the match in that game and after receiving the award, club teammate Bruno Fernandes sent both a message of congratulations and warning to the France star.
On his Instagram story, Fernandes posted a picture of Pogba in his post-match interview with the message: ‘Happy for you, but MVP only today’.
Portugal is due to play France in their final Group F match next Wednesday, and Bruno Fernandes will be hoping Pogba isn’t at his best in that game.
