Cristiano Ronaldo has been a phenomenal player for more than 15 years now, and the 36-year-old doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon.
The Portuguese star has been linked with a return to Old Trafford, where he first announced himself on the world stage, after winning his first Ballon d’Or and Champions League trophy.
Ronaldo still has a year left on his contract with Juventus, and he has been strongly linked with a return to the Theatre of Dreams.
Ronaldo who’s currently with Portugal in the ongoing European Championship, has told reporters that he’s unfazed at the media reports about him. According to the Portugal captain, such rumours don’t give him sleepless nights at his age.
He went on to say that no matter where he plays next season, it would be good for him, and his interest for now is the European Championship with Portugal.
“I have been playing at the highest level for many years this doesn’t faze me, maybe if I was 18 or 19 I might have had some sleepless nights, but I’m 36,” Ronaldo said at a press conference on Monday.
“It’s like I say, whatever comes, it will be for good. Regardless of whether you stay or leave, that’s not the most important right now.
“The most important thing is to focus on the national team, a competition of this magnitude is not played every day, I’m going to play the fifth European but in my mind it’s like the first.
“I want to start on the right foot, I want to win, I want to play well and I want to have positive thoughts, from the beginning to the end of the competition.”
