Donny van de Beek was set to feature for the Netherlands at this summer’s Euros, but an injury has forced him to withdraw from Frank de Boer’s Oranje squad just five days out from their opening Euro 2020 fixture against Ukraine.
Marcus Rashford has now sent a message of support to his Manchester United teammate after his injury which has ruled him out of the competition.
After a difficult season at Old Trafford, a groin injury has now seen Van de Beek’s difficult season continue which saw him limited to just four Premier League starts for United.
The Dutch national team have released a statement, thus: “Van de Beek has to let the European Championship pass by. The midfielder is struggling with an injury.
“As a result, he is not available in time for EURO 2020. Frank de Boer will not call a replacement for Van de Beek.
“Get well soon, Donny!”
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has now sent his support to the injured midfielder ascbd wished him well ahead of next season.
The United forward tweeted: “Sorry mate.
“Take some time for yourself and keep your head high x.”
