According to The Sun, Manchester United would reject any approaches for Donny van de Beek despite his poor first season at Manchester United.
The 24-year-old has started just two league matches, playing less than 330 minutes, since his £40million summer move from Dutch club Ajax.
Given his limited game time at Manchester United, there has been speculation that Manchester United may sell or loan out the Dutchman this summer.
However, The Sun claim Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expect the midfielder to remain at the club next season.
Van de Beek’s former club Ajax are said to be keen to re-sign him on a season-long loan deal but Old Trafford chiefs are ready to reject any approaches.
Solskjaer has held talks with Van de Beek recently and assured the midfielder that he will have a bigger role to play next season.
