Jurgen Klopp reveals why he’s desperate to beat Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp has never tasted victory at Old Trafford, and Liverpool have not won at Manchester United since 2014.

Since their 3-0 win at Old Trafford in 2014, Liverpool have drawn four and lost four of their past eight matches at Old Trafford.

Sunday’s game means a lot to Klopp, as a draw or defeat may ruin his team’s chances of making top four this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted that his side will be going for a victory at Old Trafford.

Asked how important a victory on Sunday would be, Klopp said: “More than 100%. Playing Champions League obviously is massive, especially from a financial point of view for the club so it’s really important.

“I don’t think it will change anything because the situation was difficult before and it is difficult after.”
