Manchester United player agrees deal to join Leicester City

Manchester United youth defender Iestyn Hughes has agreed to join Leicester in the summer transfer window.

According to Manchester Evening News, the 18 year old defender has agreed a three-year deal with The Foxes.

His mum, Samantha Hughes, confirmed the imminent transfer exit as she posted an update from their trip to see the youngster’s new facilities at Leicester.

“Great day seeing where Iestyn’s journey will continue,” she tweeted.

“All the hard work, dedication, commitment and sacrifices you’ve made have been so worth it after seeing this today. Proud mum and dad.”

Hughes has made 14 appearances for United’s Under-18s this season and has also appeared once for the Under-23 side in the Premier League 2.
