Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has joked Fred will have to wait for another year before scoring for Manchester United.

Fred scored in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Tottenham, his first Premier League goal in 31 games.

His goal against Tottenham is his fourth Manchester United goal since he joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018

“So [it was] because Fred normally never scores!” Fernandes, who has 24 goals to his name this season, told MUTV.

“So, when he scores, we have to do something different.

“It will be the next goal in one year because I think the last one he scored for us was against Club Brugge, one year ago almost or maybe more.

“We have to make something to remember that goal.”
