According to Spanish outlet AS via Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have made Villarreal defender Pau Torres a ‘priority transfer’ this summer.

The 24 year old Villarreal defender has enjoyed another successful season with the Spanish side and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge admirer.

AS claims Villarreal have not received an official offer for Torres and will demand that United meet his £43m release clause, which increases to £56m in the final 15 days of the transfer window.

Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also interested in the Spanish defender.
