Manchester United were dealt a 6-1 defeat at Old Trafford when both sides met back in October.

With the game at 2-1, Anthony Martial hit out after provocation from Erik Lamela and the Frenchman was sent off by referee Anthony Taylor. United would go on to lose the game 6-1.

With both set sides set to meet at Old Trafford on Sunday, Solskjaer has now warned his side to be wary of such tactics from Jose Mourinho’s men this time around.

Solskjaer said: “We got conned into a red card. We gave ourselves a difficult game by having ten men.

“And that is something we have to be aware of, that we can’t react like this because we know in games like this we will be wound up.”

Interestingly, Spurs were four points ahead of United after that 6-1 back in October, but Jose Mourinho’s side now goes into Sunday’s game 11 points behind his old club.
