Jesse Lingard barely featured for Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the 28-year-old has become a different player since his loan move to West Ham.
Much to the surprise of everyone, Lingard hit instant form with the Hammers, and has raked in 6 goals in just 8 appearances.
United were reportedly okay to take around £20m for Lingard last summer but due to his recent form, his value has skyrocketed. According to MetroUK, Manchester United are keen to earn around £30m through the sale of Lingard and wouldn’t accept a bid of £20m.
Lingard only have a year remaining on his deal with United, but Manchester United don’t want to sell at a lower price.
However a senior source at West Ham has told Sky Sports that the club will do everything possible to to sign Lingard.
“We will do whatever it takes to sign him,” a source told Sky Sports.
“‘He’s been outstanding for us.”
