Bruno Fernandes: It’s still a poor season even if we win the Europa League

Bruno Fernandes has shown his winning mentality as he has revealed that he won’t be happy with the outcome of the season if Manchester United win only the Europa League.

Bruno Fernandes believes a team like Manchester United should be targeting for the Premier League title, and winning the Europa League alone won’t hide the fact that the team didn’t do enough this season.

The Portuguese international has asked for the team to make improvements, as he admitted that there is a need for massive improvement following a season that has blown both hot and cold.

“No, it’s never successful when you win just one trophy at this club. You see in the past that they won a lot of trophies,” he told talkSPORT.

“It’s always successful when you win something. That’s important to understand because it means we did something good.

“But at the same time, it doesn’t matter how many trophies you win, you always have to improve.

“So it doesn’t matter if we won four trophies this season and I think we still need to improve. If this season we win just the Europa League, we still need to improve.

“The most important thing for us is understanding that it doesn’t matter how many trophies we win, we still have to improve every season.”
