Manchester United did well to come from behind and beat Brighton 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
A 13th minute strike from Danny Welbeck had put Manchester United in front, but second half goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood sealed a comeback victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Meanwhile, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who assisted Rashford for his leveller, admitted after the game that he didn’t see his teammates goal, as he was fouled by Brighton star Joel Veltman.
Asked about Rashford’s goal, Fernandes told MUTV: “I didn’t see it because someone almost broke my ankle!
“But I’m happy for the team, I am happy for Marcus. It was a good effort because as everyone knows he has come back from injury and he’s helped us.
“This effort comes from everyone. The press for the first goal was good it made them do the wrong ball and I recovered the ball and passed to Marcus and he scores. Everyone is happy when we win and it doesn’t matter who scores.”
United are well placed to seal a Champions League finish, with Leicester City, Chelsea and Tottenham all dropping points.
