Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has impressed on loan at West Ham after struggling to get game time at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
West Ham were unable to agree an option to buy in Lingard’s loan deal but they still remain interested in signing the Manchester United midfielder permanently.
West Ham boss David Moyes has reiterated West Ham’s desire to keep Lingard permanently but added that nothing was yet in place to make Lingard’s deal permanent.
Moyes said: “We will say yes we’d love to have Jesse, because of how well he’s doing.
“But we’ve still get nine games to go to, to judge and assess Jesse, just like Manchester United will have a period of time to think whether they want to sell or keep him.
“There’s nothing in place at the moment.”
