Harry Kane’s future has been in doubt for some time now, and with each season, it looks like it will be his last.
Kane is a world class striker, but he’s yet to win a trophy with his boyhood club Tottenham.
For many seasons, Kane has been prolific for Spurs, but despite his goals, he hasn’t been able to lift a trophy, and he’s now being backed to leave the club in search of silverware.
Kane has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, and Chelsea legend Ashley Cole believes that he’d be interested in a move.
“Every time I hear him speak or see him on the TV and he addresses the situation about the contract he seems happy but under the surface I can tell he wants to win as well,” said Ashley Cole on ITV.
“Most players want to win, they want to compete for trophies, they want to finish their career with as many top games, big games, big accolades.
“Will he do that at Tottenham? I don’t think so.
“It’s going to be interesting for him, whether he stays or goes, but it’s going to be a very, very big decision for him.”
Asked if it will be a tough decision for Kane to move on this summer, Keane told ITV: “It is but he’s also a professional.
“If you’re a top player you want to win trophies. It’s a big few months coming up for Tottenham, the League Cup final, can they get in the top four? Huge question marks.
“Will that influence him? He’s obviously under contract, Tottenham will have a lot to say about it.
“But if you’re in his shoes and it comes to the summer, I think the guy has to move on to really win the big prizes. He’s not going to do it at Tottenham.”
