According to Spanish media outlet El Desmarque via Manchester Evening News, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly frustrated with Manchester United’s interest in signing Villarreal defender Pau Torres.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised signing the 24 year old defender. This is because Torres’ natural ability as a left-footer makes him an ideal candidate to be the long-term partner for club captain Harry Maguire.
Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Torres and it is claimed he is interested in joining Manchester United this summer.
El Desmarque claim Perez has reluctantly accepted defeat in the race for Torres, who had been earmarked as a replacement for Sergio Ramos, who is out of contract in the summer.
